P1:Describe an existing media advertising campaign
*The aims and objectives of the ad campaign is that they can spread there name and therefore create more sales and expand.The main aim of the nike company is to target all of the americans with there clothing regardless of your gender, age and physical fitness level. Over the past few years Nike have expanded so much just becuase of the advertising that they use. All over the world there are adverts for Nike and the avderts are on billboards all over the world and in the busiest countries in the world.
*The target audience of Nike has changed since the begginning of the company.In 1988 the brand Nike changed there target audience from elite athletes to normal everyday people. I believe one of the main reasons for this change is because they know that they will create more sales by this. Nike want everyone to buy and wear there clothes. Alot of people wear Nikes clothes in todays day and age. This is becuase nike keep bringing out better things and are changing there brand on what type of clothes people want.
*The key messages of the Just do it campaign is to supply clothes too every american no matter of there fitness levels, age or gender. The just do it campaign was so powerful that people begin to get in contact with Nike and was telling them that the just do it campaign has made them want to get out of bed and word and get healthy and fit. An 80 year old man runs 17 miles everyday in his nike top and says that the just do it campaign makes him want to do it every morning.
*Nike uses an approach of the brand that makes people believe that anyone can wear the Nike clothes and everyone is good enough for the brand. The Nike branding is seen on bags, tops, billboards and all accross the world. Nike wants the brand to be seen as competitive, forceful, direct etc. They want people to feel as strong and powerful in there clothes like the celebrities in the adverts do in there clothing.
*Nike has alot of representation for there company as they have gained alot of attention over the past few years. Nike have targetted some of the biggest and mst famous people in the world knowing that they have a huge fan base and know that if they sponser them types of people all there fans will think if they are wearing that clothing then the celebrities fans will begin to wear it. One of nikes biggest sponsor is Michael Jordan who has been a big part of there company the past few years.
*The just do it campaign has been that powerful towards people that have actually contacted Nike and told them storys about how they just did it. Weather it was to quit a dead end job that you wasnt enjoying or just eating healthy and having a healthier life style. Alot of the people have said that they have had a proper conection with the just do it campaign.
*There are many rules when it comes to advertising. You need to make sure that there is no chance anyone can be offended by the advert because if the advert had to be taken down it would be a waste of money and also a waste of time. When making an advert you need to have to make it child freindly as if the children are watching the TV in the high chair while the parents are there they need to be child friendly otherwise you will get complaints.
